In 1984 Auto Adventure started in the auto wrecking industry, as a specialized Honda & Acura only wrecking yard. It was the brain child of the Coe family. Harold Coe saw the demand for Honda service, repair & parts supply growing rapidly. So he purchased a full city block in SE Porltand directly across the street from his service & repair facility. In late 1984 he bulit a new 20,000 sq ft warehouse where we could dismantel Honda & Acura cars for parts. By offering our custmers used parts at a substantial savings.
In 1996 we bagan working with Japanes engine importers that could supply us with many of the popular Honda & Acura engines our customers needed. In 2005 Auto Adventure was able to go direct with the Japaneese auto recycler and stated purchasing complete vehicles in Japan. The Japanese recycling team was able to pull the useable parts we requested and package them into a sea container & ship them to our location.
In 2006 Auto Adventure saw the demand for Honda & Acura parts declining, along with the demand for true Japanese Domestic parts. After careful study Auto Adventure purchased its first Subaru for recycling. Since the first purchase of Subaru, Auto Advnenture now offer parts from many of the Japanese & Korean auto manfactures.
